I'm not sure if I have any die hard veggie tales fans out there (not that I can claim to be one), however, at the end of every show this old school computer with a bright blue screen comes on, a catchy little tune starts and Bob the tomato and Larry the cucumber sum up what important lessons they learned that day. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we're about to have a Veggie Tales moment. While I've been giving you tons of different recipe's that are delicious I hope you were able to see the underlying theme that was present in each and every one of my recipes. They required absolutely no training and they were EASY! Hopefully I've been able to show you that you can be an untrained cook and make great meals that take little time and are super easy. Now that we've had our fun little summary moment let's get cooking.
This week I wanted to sum up our little cooking adventure with a family favorite. This little treat isn't a meal but for some reason I had the idea that when my mom was cooking this treat it took her slaving and sweating over the stove for hours. Little did I know that she was whipping up a treat in a matter of minutes. Today we're making carmel corn.
You'll Need:
2 bags of plain popcorn
1/2 bag of marshmallows
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
Instructions:
Pop your two bags of plain popcorn.Put marshmallows, butter and sugar in the microwave for 1 minute. Stir the mixture then put it back in for a minute. Stir once again and pour the mixture over the popcorn. Stir the popcorn and enjoy!
Happy Eating Food Lovers!
