It seems like any time you have an appetizer it is at either at a Superbowl party or a restaurant. There really aren't many options to make a fun and easy appetizer that goes well with a dinner. At a Superbowl party you've got those strange tortilla cream cheese rolls that lack flavor and zest or some previously frozen sausages soaked in barbecue sauce. At a restaurant the appetizer choices are grease filled onion rings, battered cheese sticks, or something else that will weigh you down and NOT leave you feeling warmed up for dinner.
An appetizer should be everything that restaurants and snack party appetizers aren't. They need to be light and leave you wanting more. They need to be full of flavor yet sophisticated enough to go with a meal. And they need to make you not have to spend the night with a stomach ache (healthy enough to not feel like you have a bowl of grease in your belly).
The appetizer this week is the perfect combination of all of these qualities. This week we'll be making stuffed mushrooms that will have your guests in applause and ready for the main course. This appetizeris so easy that you'll make this snack a repeat offender!
You'll Need:
3 ounces Cream cheese
8 medium to large mushrooms
1/2 an onion
3 strips of bacon
1 clove garlic
1/3 c. of bread crumbs (I just toast a piece of bread and leave it and then crumble it myself)
butter
The Recipe:

Those mushrooms sound fantastics, but they look terrible! Haha, the picture wasn't so flattering. Great suggestion though for an appetizer.
